Lumpur, Thursday :- Pay RM6.90 and durian lovers can eat as
many durians and other local fruits as they want at the PLUS
‘Jom Makan Durian’ Festival which will be held at the Bukit
Gantang Lay-by (Southbound) on the NSE this 9 August between
9:00 am until 6:00 pm.
The ‘Jom Makan Durian’ Festival is held in conjunction with the
durian season in Bukit Gantang. The event is also aimed at
promoting the Bukit Gantang Lay-by as one of the highway stops
offering a variety of local fruits at reasonable price for
travelers.
During the ‘Jom Makan Durian’ Festival, highway travelers can
enjoy as many durians as they can for only RM6.90 per person
(free for children below 7 years), enjoy 50 percent discount off
any durian purchased at the rest area, enter a durian eating
contest for the Kaki Durian title, best durian contest, guess
the weight of a durian contest, a cooking competition or
colouring contest for children.
