Highway users can now get the latest traffic updates on the PLUS-operated highways through its Twitter service at twitter.com/plustrafik.
According to PLUS Malaysia Berhad’s Corporate Communications Senior Manager, Mohd Nizam Ismail, “The PLUSTrafik twitter service is part of PLUS’ continous efforts to inform highways users of the latest traffic updates on the North-South Expressway (NSE), ELITE highway, the NKVE, Federal Highway Route 2, the Secondlink highway, the Seremban-Port Dickson highway, the Penang Bridge and the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway.”
Since its inception in January last year, the PLUSTrafik Twitter page is being followed by more than 75,000 users.
“The number keeps growing each day and this shows that the PLUSTrafik Twitter is well received by the public.
“Operating an almost 1,000 kilometres of highways is a challenging task. As such, we need various mediums of communication to relay traffic updates to our users. Apart from the PLUSTrafik Twitter, traffic updates are also available through electronic message boards at strategic locations along the highways. Highway users can also ask for the latest traffic updates through the toll-free PLUSLine (1800 88 0000) which is available 24-hours a day,” said Nizam.
