PLUS R&R TRADERS CONTINUES TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE

 Understanding the challenging economic environment faced by its “Rakan Niaga” or R&R traders, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) extended a three month assistance from this August to October, which includes reduction in monthly rental to all its stall and temporary business operators. All traders in the North and South Bound Gelang Patah Rest and Service Areas (R&R) will receive full monthly rental waivers considering the impact of the temporary closure of the Malaysia-Singapore border.

PLUS also provided a two week waiver on the monthly rental to R&R business operators who are affected by the Government’s announcement to extend the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Selangor.

In an effort to provide business continuity to help the R&R business operators, the company is looking into payment plans including waiver of late payment charges. The same assistance has also been extended to the R&R business operators based at Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 (LPT2) in Terengganu.

Since 2020, PLUS has granted business operators rental relief due to the impact of the interstate travel restrictions and PLUS is constantly seeking ways to assist and help its business operators during these challenging times.

“PLUS has consistently been assisting our R&R business operators since the first Movement Control Order (MCO) in March 2020. To help our business operators adapt to disruption brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have provided online training as well to equip them in using technology for their business in the new norms,” said Syed Mohammed Idid, Head of Strategic Stakeholder Engagement of PLUS.

“To encourage contactless transactions for the safety of our customers and our business operators, the “Order Disini” or Pre-order function in the PLUS App was designed as an enabler for food-to-go orders and as a means to mitigate reduction of dine in customers at the R&Rs, ” explains Syed.

RAKAN NIAGA R&R PLUS TERUS MENERIMA BANTUAN

 Memahami cabaran yang dihadapi oleh Rakan-Rakan Niaganya di kawasan rehat dan rawat (R&R) di lebuh raya pada ketika ini, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) telah membuat keputusan untuk memberikan bantuan tambahan kepada kumpulan terbabit. Bantuan berbentuk pengurangan sewa bulanan selama tiga bulan tersebut akan diberikan kepada semua Rakan Niaga dan pengendali perniagaan sementara bermula Ogos hingga Oktober yang akan datang. Ia termasuklah pengecualian sewa bulanan untuk semua Rakan Niaga di R&R Gelang Patah (Arah Utara dan Selatan) susulan penutupan sementara sempadan Malaysia-Singapura.

Selain daripada itu, PLUS juga akan melanjutkan pengecualian sewa bulanan selama dua minggu kepada Rakan Niaga yang terjejas berikutan pengumuman Kerajaan yang melanjutkan pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakkan Diperketatkan (PKPD) di Selangor.

Pada masa yang sama, PLUS juga sedang meneliti cadangan pembayaran secara berkala serta pengecualian caj bayaran lewat untuk Rakan-Rakan Niaganya. Bantuan yang sama juga akan diberikan kepada pengusaha tempatan di R&R di Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 (LPT2).

PLUS telah memberikan bantuan pengurangan sewa sejak 2020 susulan pelaksanaan PKP sebelum ini dan PLUS sentiasa mencari jalan untuk membantu Rakan Niaga mereka melalui pendekatan terbaik, walaupun turut berdepan dengan cabaran pandemik.

“PLUS konsisten dalam usaha membantu Rakan Niaga sejak pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan pertama (PKP) Mac tahun lalu. Kami telah menganjurkan pelbagai program latihan dalam talian dan meningkatkan penggunaan teknologi bagi meningkatkan kebolehan Rakan Niaga mengadaptasi perniagaan mereka demi mendepani cabaran perniagaan yang disebabkan oleh COVID-19,” kata Syed Mohammed Idid, Ketua Perhubungan Libat Urus Strategik PLUS.

“Pengenalan fungsi “Order Disini” atau fungsi Pra-Pesanan menerusi Aplikasi PLUS telah direka khusus sebagai pemudah cara bagi menggalakkan pembelian atas talian seta pesanan bawa pulang di semua R & R,” jelas Syed.
