PLUS LAUNCHES “1 PEMBELIAN, SERIBU HARAPAN” CAMPAIGN TO DRIVE SUPPORT FOR THE HIGHWAY R&R BUSINESS ECOSYSTEM

 PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has launched a campaign themed “Satu Pembelian, Seribu Harapan” as part of its continuous effort to assist its rest & service areas’ (R&R’s) local community business operators whose businesses have been severely impacted by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The “Satu Pembelian, Seribu Harapan” campaign aims to invite highway customers who have the permission to travel, to support the local community business operators as they pit stop at the R&R’s along their journey. The invitation to the public to stop and purchase a meal or a drink will not only help the R&R traders themselves but also the entire supply chain including highway fence line community businesses whose livelihoods depend on supplying goods to the PLUS highway R&R business operators. 

The Director General of the Malaysian Highway Authority, Dato’ Ir. Mohd. Shuhaimi Hassan said that this support initiative augurs well with the highway sector’s long-standing intention to elevate livelihoods of its fence line community traders.

“PLUS has also implemented several initiatives, including organizing online trainings to help the local business operators to adapt their business to the new reality due to COVID-19, through innovation and digitization and introduced an online Pre-Order System for contactless services at the R&R through the PLUS Application since April last year”, explained Dato’ Ir. Mohd. Shuhaimi. 

“When the first Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in March 2020 we extended our help to all our R&R businesses with rental reduction and waivers. However, with the prolonged travel limitations, many of our local small businesses on our highway have been hit hard and face different challenges than those within the town or city limits. This is why, we wanted to enhance our efforts with this campaign, “Satu Pembelian Seribu Harapan” to generate support from fellow Malaysians and share that  EVERY purchase at a PLUS R&R goes a long way to support the many communities along our highways”, said Datuk Azman Ismail, Managing Director of PLUS

The continuous efforts by PLUS in ensuring that all safety SOP’s are adhered to on site and keeping the R&Rs clean and well maintained provides the comfort and peace of mind for travellers to take a reprieve from their long journey to support the stall operators who bravely continue to serve them.

PLUS invites those who have the permission to travel during the MCO to make an F&B purchase using the PLUS mobile app pre order function and with a few clicks, we can help ignite a thousand hopes for the R&R traders, workers, community suppliers and their families. Highway customers can download the PLUS mobile app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store to use the Order Di Sini (Pre-Order) function for take away at selected R&R’s. PLUS LANCAR KEMPEN "1 PEMBELIAN, SERIBU HARAPAN" SEBAGAI USAHA SOKONG  PENGENDALI PERNIAGAAN R&R  DAN KOMUNITINYA

 PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS)  dalam usahanya untuk membantu pengendali perniagaan R&R setempat yang perniagaannya terjejas akibat pandemik ini, melancarkan kempen bertemakan "Satu Pembelian Seribu Harapan".

Kempen "Satu Pembelian Seribu Harapan" bertujuan untuk menjemput pelanggan lebuh raya yang mendapat kebenaran untuk merentas daerah dan negeri, supaya menyokong pengusaha perniaga komuniti setempat apabila mereka berhenti di R&R sepanjang perjalanan mereka.  Melalui pembelian makanan atau minuman ini, pelanggan lebuh raya bukan sahaja membantu perniagaan  kecil itu sendiri tetapi menyokong keseluruhan rantaian bekalan komuniti yang tinggal di sepanjang jajaran lebuh raya, yang mata pencarian mereka juga bergantung kepada perniagaan pengendali R&R.

Ketua Pengarah Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia, Dato' Ir. Mohd. Shuhaimi Hassan berkata, inisiatif ini sejajar dengan konsep asal lebuh raya yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tahap ekonomi peniaga komuniti yang tinggal disepanjang jajaran lebuhraya. 

"PLUS juga telah melaksanakan beberapa inisiatif, termasuk menganjurkan latihan dalam talian untuk membantu pengusaha perniagaan tempatan menyesuaikan perniagaan mereka dengan realiti baharu akibat COVID-19, melalui inovasi dan pendigitalan serta memperkenalkan Sistem Pra-Pesanan dalam talian untuk perkhidmatan tanpa sentuhan di R&R melalui Aplikasi PLUS sejak April tahun lepas", jelas Dato' Ir. Mohd. Shuhaimi.

"Apabila Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) pertama dilaksanakan pada Mac 2020 kami telah menghulurkan bantuan kepada semua perniagaan R&R termasuk pengurangan dan pengecualian sewa. Walau bagaimanapun, disebabkan larangan rentas negeri dan daerah yang berpanjangan, kebanyakkan pengusaha tempatan kecil di lebuh raya kami telah mengalami kesan yang berat serta menghadapi cabaran yang berbeza jika dibandingkan dengan peniaga kecil dikawasan bandar. Inilah sebabnya usaha kami dilipat gandakan melalui kempen “Satu Pembelian Seribu Harapan” demi mendapatkan sokongan seluruh rakyat Malaysia dan menimbulkan kesedaran bahawa SETIAP pembelian dapat  menyokong  kelestarian seluruh  komuniti di sepanjang lebuh raya kami", kata Datuk Azman Ismail, Pengarah Urusan PLUS.

Usaha berterusan  PLUS dalam memastikan semua SOP keselamatan dipatuhi di lokasi R&R dan menjaga tahap kebersihan melalui penyelenggaraan yang tertinggi demi memberikan keselesaan dan ketenangan kepada pengguna lebuh raya untuk berehat daripada perjalanan panjang mereka dan menyokong pengusaha gerai yang tetap bersemangat untuk memberikan perkhidmatan kepada mereka. 

PLUS menjemput mereka yang mendapat kelulusan melakukan perjalanan semasa PKP ini untuk membuat pembelian F&B menggunakan fungsi pra pesanan melalui Aplikasi PLUS dan membantu menyalakan seribu harapan. Pelanggan lebuh raya boleh memuat turun Aplikasi PLUS secara percuma dari Google Play Store atau Apple App Store  dan menggunakan fungsi Order Di Sini  (Pra-Pesanan) untuk pesanan bawa pulang di R&R terpilih.
