Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors are experienced and committed individuals who bring a wide range of expertise. With their broad range of skills, experience and knowledge, they effectively oversee the Group's business activities.

Currently, the Board has six Directors comprising of one executive member and five non-executive members.

 Dato’ Mohamad Nasir Ab. LatifNon-Independent Non-Executive Chairman Expand/ Collapse

Dato' Mohamad Nasir Ab. Latif was appointed to the Board of PLUS Malaysia Berhad on 31 December 2013 and was named Chairman on 27 June 2019.

He is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment) of the Employees Provident Fund.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science (Economics) from Universiti Sains Malaysia and obtained a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1996. He also holds a Master of Science in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling, United Kingdom in 1999.

He previously held positions as State Enforcement Officer (1990-1995), Senior Research Officer, Manager and Senior Manager in the Investment and Economics Research Department (1995-2003) and General Manager of the International Equity Investment Department (July 2009-2013).

Apart from PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Dato' Mohamad Nasir currently a Board member of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad, Yinson Holdings Berhad, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, Yarra Park City Pty Ltd., PNB-Kwasa International Holding Limited, PNB-Kwasa International 1 Limited and PNB-Kwasa International 2 Limited.

 Dato’ Mohd Izani GhaniNon-Independent Non-Executive DirectorExpand/ Collapse

Dato' Mohd Izani Ghani was appointed Executive Director of UEM Group Berhad (UEM Group) on 1 January 2019 and re-designated as Managing Director on 1 August 2019.

He has over 27 years of investment and management experience and prior to joining UEM Group, Dato’ Mohd Izani was the Executive Director, Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) where he oversaw its Turkey Regional Office. He was formerly Khazanah’s Chief Financial Officer where under his leadership, the Government’s strategic investment arm issued many landmark sukuk transactions including exchangeable and Social Impact Sukuk. He had also previously served at Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd and Renong Group.

Dato’ Mohd Izani currently sits on the Board of UEM Group as well as UEM Group of Companies including PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad, UEM Sunrise Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad, UEM Builders Berhad, Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad or CIMA, Konsortium ProHAWK Sdn Bhd, Samsung C&T Corporation UEM Construction JV Sdn Bhd, as well as Chairman and Board Member of PLUS Expressways International Berhad. Dato’ Mohd Izani is also a Member of Board of Trustees of Yayasan UEM and a Member of Board of Governors of Kolej Yayasan UEM or KYUEM.

Dato’ Mohd Izani is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), class of 1991. He subsequently obtained his professional qualification from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and was conferred fellowship in 2000. He is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF).

 Dato’ Noorazman Abd AzizIndependent Non-Executive DirectorExpand/ Collapse

Dato’ Noorazman Abd Aziz was appointed to the Board of PLUS Malaysia Berhad on 1 October 2018.

He also sits on the Board of several UEM Group of Companies including UEM Sunrise Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad and PT Lintas Marga Sedaya in Indonesia where he is a Vice President Commissioner.

He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan UEM, the philanthropic arm of UEM Group, and Chairman of Board of Trustees of International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).

Dato’ Noorazman obtained his BSc (Finance) degree from Louisiana State University, USA. He has over 37 years of experience in banking & finance, investments and capital markets having served as Executive Director, Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Managing Director of Fajr Capital Ltd (a Khazanah investee company) and held key positions in Citigroup, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA), to name a few.

In 2005, Dato’ Noorazman was named as the winner of the first Asian Banker Achievement Award for Islamic Finance. He is a practicing member of the Association of Chartered Islamic Finance Professionals (ACIFP) as well as a member of the Investment Panel of Kumpulan Wang Amanah Persaraan (KWAP) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also sits on the Limited Partner Advisory Committee (LPAC) for Ancora Fund Management Co. in Indonesia and Meridiam Infrastructure Fund Management Co. in France.

 Wong Shu HsienNon-Independent Non-Executive Director Expand/ Collapse

Ms Wong Shu Hsien was appointed to the Board of PLUS Malaysia Berhad on 13 February 2012. She holds a Degree in Economics from Cambridge University and a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She joined Khazanah Nasional Berhad in February 2005 from Bina Fikir Sdn Bhd. Previously she worked in a private equity firm called Emerging Markets Partnership, the Principal Adviser to AIG Infrastructure Fund II. Prior to that, Shu Hsien worked as a research analyst. She is currently a Director of Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad.

Besides PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Ms Wong also sits on the Board of UEM Group Berhad and Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad.

 Datuk Azman IsmailManaging Director Expand/ Collapse

Datuk Azman Ismail was appointed as the Managing Director of PLUS Malaysia Berhad on 1 January 2017. He also sits on the Board of Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad, Teras Teknologi Sdn Bhd, Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 Sdn Bhd and PLUS Helicopter Sdn Bhd.

Datuk Azman, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln USA graduate, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, was formerly the Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and General Manager of Retail Business, overseeing Shell’s petroleum retailing in Malaysia and Brunei – two positions he held concurrently.

His 30-year distinguished career at the global oil & gas company saw him held several key roles including those in operations, retail as well as finance. Datuk Azman also headed the transformation of the retail business in Malaysia, leading to significant increase in financial results and improvements in Health, Security, Safety and Environment (HSSE), customer focus, business controls and turnarounds.

Datuk Azman is also a Board Member of Malaysian Institute of Road Safety (MIROS). He was recently appointed as the President of the Association of Highway Concessionaires Malaysia (PSKLM).

Datuk Azman’s personal mission is to feel proud when making a difference. At PLUS, he aims to make the employees to feel proud that they are able to reach to new heights in the global arena, which is never thought possible previously, in their working life time.

 Mohamad Hafiz KassimNon-Independent Non-Executive DirectorExpand/ Collapse

Mohamad Hafiz joined the EPF in 2008 and currently heads the Capital Market Department since April 2017. The Capital Market Department manages the EPF's Fixed Income (Internal & External) portfolios and Corporate Finance activities. Prior to his current role, Mohamad Hafiz headed the Private Markets and Private Equity departments.

Mohamad Hafiz has more than 20 years experience in investment analysis, private equity investing, accounting and auditing.

Prior to joining the EPF, Mohamad Hafiz worked at Daiwa Capital, PricewaterhouseCoopers and TM Berhad.

Mohamad Hafiz is a graduate in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a CFA charterholder. He is a Board member of PLUS Berhad, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn. Bhd and SMW Environment Holdings Sdn Bhd. In addition, he sits on the Advisory Board of several private equity and real estate funds.



 Mr. Lim Tian HuatIndependent Director Expand/ Collapse

Mr. Lim Tian Huat was appointed to the Board of PLUS Malaysia Berhad on 1 March 2012.

Mr Lim is the Managing Partner of Rodgers Reidy & Co., Chartered Accountants and a licensed auditor and liquidator. He was previously a partner of Ernst & Young from 2002 to 2009, prior to that, partner of Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1990 to 2002.

He has served as Commissioner to the United Nations Compensation Commission and as member of the Corporate Law Reform Committee (CLRC) under the purview of the Companies Commission of Malaysia. He co-authored a book entitled "The Law and Practice of Corporate Receivership in Malaysia and Singapore".

Mr. Lim is the founding President of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia (IPAM). He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He holds a BA Economics (Honours) degree. Besides PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Mr Lim is also a Director of UEM Sunrise Berhad, Malaysia Building Society Berhad, Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation and Anglo-Eastern Plantations PLC.

He is also a Director of Bank of Yingkou, China.
