PLUS Highways/ Expressways

The North-South Expressway (NSE), a 772-km expressway from the border of Thailand on the north to the border of Singapore on the South of the Peninsular Malaysia;

The New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) - a 35-km expressway running between Jalan Duta and Bukit Raja in Klang;

The Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH) - a 23-km expressway connecting Seremban and Port Dickson;

The North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) Highway - a 63-km expressway that connects the Nilai Utara Interchange on the NSE and Shah Alam on the NKVE;

The Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing Highway (LINKEDUA) - the second bridge crossing between Tuas in Singapore and Tanjung Kupang in Johor, and the toll road linking the second crossing to the NSE with a total length of 47-km;

The Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) - a 17-km expressway linking Kulim in Kedah to Seberang Perai in Penang;

The Penang Bridge, a vital link connecting the Penang Island and Seberang Perai on the mainland with total length of 13.5-km.

Toll Fare calculation is based on the current toll rate (cent/km) and distance travelled.The distance is calculated from PLUS' Limit of Maintenance Responsibilities (LMR) and not from the respective toll plazas. The distance is checked and approved by the Malaysian Highway Authority.

The latest traffic updates are provided through the toll-free PLUSLine (1800 88 0000), electronic message boards installed at strategic location along the highways, major radio stations and the PLUStrafik Twitter service.

REST AND SERVICE AREAS

Rest and Service Area (RSA), located every 80 to 100 kilometres provide facilities such as food stalls, rest huts, highway motels (selected locations only), prayer rooms, petrol stations, public restrooms, convenience shops, ATMs, public telephones, parking bays and children's playgrounds.

Lay-by or mini RSA is located at every 25 to 50 kilometres along the highways. A lay-by offers basic facilities such as public restrooms, public telephones, parking bays and rest huts. However, some upgraded lay-bys offer additional facilities such as food stalls, petrol stations, prayer rooms and others.

There are currently 48 Lay-bys (inclusive of vista points and truckers' centre) and 27 RSAs (inclusive of overhead bridge restaurants) on all PLUS-operated highways.

ELECTRONIC TOLL COLLECTION SYSTEM

The Touch 'n Go card (including PLUSMiles card), SmartTAG, RFID and Open Payment (currently on trial at BKE)

PLUSTrack is a pioneer fleet card initiated by PLUS for transporters as an alternative electronic mode for toll payment. It is a solution for day-to-day efficient fleet management and rewarded with tiered-rebate program (subject to PLUSTrack's terms and conditions). The Travel Time Advisory (TTA) is a set of recommended staggered travel times for various destinations along the highways. It is developed to improve traffic flow on the mainline during festive seasons by proactive scheduling of travel to provide a smoother flow of traffic and at the same time reduce congestion during peak hours.
